How to Play ParadigmChess30
Quick Start
If you know how to play chess, you already know how to play ParadigmChess30.
It uses the same board, the same pieces (just replace your bishops with Dragon Bishops), and the same rules.
The only difference is how the game begins — from one of 30 unique, balanced starting positions.
Setup
Kings, rooks, and pawns stay in their normal positions.
The Dragon Bishops, knights, and queens are arranged in one of 30 pre-designed setups.
Every position keeps castling fully legal and balanced.
You can browse all 30 positions on the Starting Positions page.
Gameplay
Once the board is set up, you play as you would in classical chess — moving pieces, capturing, and aiming to checkmate your opponent's king.
All standard chess rules apply:
Check, checkmate, and stalemate work the same way.
Castling and en passant remain valid.
Pawns can still promote to a queen, rook, knight, or Dragon Bishop.
That's it — no new mechanics, just new possibilities.
Why It's So Exciting
Every ParadigmChess30 game starts fresh.
No memorized openings. No stale draws.
